Test tips
Driving tips
The latest government statistics suggest the
average learner takes 45 hours professional
tuition and 20 hours private practice to pass the
driving test. The national average for tests
    passed is 42.3%

1. Take lessons with a professional instructor               (make sure they are displaying their green                 driving instructor badge in the window of the           car) and do plenty of practice.

2. Make sure you fully understand all aspects of
    driving and the test.

3. Get a good night's sleep.

4. Chew gum - it helps you concentrate!

5. Stay calm and focus on what you are doing.

6. If things go wrong don't panic. Think what you
would do if you were on your own, how you
    would correct your mistake safely.
Observe the 5 habits:

1. Keep space - maintain a safe distance all around
     the car

2. Keep your eyes moving - always be aware of
what is going on around you

3. Keep calm - don't allow the bad driving of others
    to frustrate or anger you

4. Be considerate - we all share the same roads.
Pedestrians, cyclists and lorry drivers all need
    extra consideration.

5.
Be alert - your country needs lerts!
